The birthplace of the great composer in the heart of the town is a place of pilgrimage for music fans around the world. It is the only residence of the Beethoven family in Bonn that has been preserved and exists largely in its original state.

Beethon
The concrete sculpture "BEETHON" by Düsseldorf artist Professor Klaus Kammerich has become a symbol of Bonn, the town of Beethoven. The sculpture has been standing in front of the Beethovenhalle since 1986.

Beethoven monument
In 1845, in commemoration of Beethoven's 75th birthday, a bronze statue of the musican and composer was uncloaked on Münsterplatz. Standing on the balcony of the Fürstenberg'schen Palais - since 1877 the main post office - Friedrich Wilhelm IV and Queen Victoria were present at the inauguration of the Beethoven monument.
