Brotfabrik
The stage in the Brotfabrik came into existence in 1986 out of the need for a place where artists could work and display their art. In the past few years the Brotfabrik has become one of the most important production and performance venues in the region for theatre, music, and dance.

Contra-Kreis-Theater
Not only Bonn residents love their Contra-Kreis, the theatre has made a name for itself throughout Germany with numerous national and world premieres. Many young actors, for instance Til Schweiger, had their first stage experiences here. Many experienced colleagues cherish this theatre and enjoy returning again and again. Jochen Busse, Renan Demirkan, Wolfgang Spier, Horst Janson, Katinka Hoffmann, Anita Kupsch, Maria Sebaldt, Corinna Genest, Hans-Jürgen Bäumler, Sonja Ziemann. The concept of letting children and youth work together with professional actors and actresses has proven successful. Junges Theater Bonn travels throughout Germany, putting on performances to great acclaim. The Kunst- und Ausstellungshalle der Bundesrepublik Deutschland (Art and Exhibition Hall of the Federal Republic of Germany) has promoted Junges Theater Bonn since 1999 with engagements for the annual Museum Mile Festival, which have since become a tradition.

For more than ten years now the theaterimballsaal has been the only independent theatre and dance venue in Bonn. The theatre/ dance ensemble is under the joint artistic direction of two Bonn groups fringe ensemble (theatre) and CocoonDance (dance).
