The Rheinisches Landesmuseum (Rhenish Regional Museum), founded in 1820 and since redesigned into a theme museum, now exhibits the art and cultural history of the Rhineland. The museum is organized into three themes: TOMB, TEMPLE, and BUILDING. In addition to ancient Egyptian concepts of life after death, illustrated by the various burial objects, the exhibition is devoted, among others, to temple architecture, the role of the Pharaoh in the cult, and the relationship between humans and the gods. Clothing, jewelry, and tools provide insights into the everyday lives of the ancient Egyptians.
