As a recipient of federal funding, it is extremely important to the Bundeskunsthalle to avoid, prevent and, if necessary, prosecute corruption. The term "corruption" generally covers the criminal offences of bribery, corruption, acceptance of benefits and granting of benefits. In addition, there may be so-called accompanying offences (e.g. falsification of documents, breach of trust, fraud), which must be connected to corrupt actions.
The Bundeskunsthalle follows the Federal Government's Directive on the Prevention of Corruption in the Federal Administration of 30 July 2004 and has therefore also appointed a contact person for the prevention of corruption.
The contact person for corruption prevention acts in an advisory and educational capacity and is the point of contact for employees and the management of the Bundeskunsthalle as well as for members of the public.
In principle, the contact person is obliged to maintain confidentiality and respect personal rights. It must maintain confidentiality about the personal circumstances of employees of which it becomes aware; however, this does not apply to the management and personnel administration of the Bundeskunsthalle if it becomes aware of facts that give rise to suspicion of a corruption offence.
Within the scope of its activities, it is not bound by official channels, is not subject to instructions and has a direct right of presentation to the management.
If you have any questions about corruption prevention, you can contact the contact person for corruption prevention or their deputy in confidence.
If you have a well-founded suspicion of corruption, you can report it anonymously via the following whistleblower portal: https://bundeskunsthalle.hinweisgeberportal.de/
