The Kunst- und Ausstellungshalle der Bundesrepublik Deutschland GmbH, Bonn, is an institution of the Federal Government and states and is funded by the Beauftragte der Bundesregierung für Kultur und Medien (BKM) on the basis of a resolution of the German Bundestag.
The Federal Republic of Germany and all 16 federal states are shareholders of the Kunst- und Ausstellungshalle der Bundesrepublik Deutschland GmbH.

Kunst- und Ausstellungshalle der Bundesrepublik Deutschland GmbH has held a 20% stake in GID - Gesellschaft für infrastrukturelle Dienste mbH, Cologne, since 1 October 2016. The share has a value of € 20,000.
GID is a joint venture between Deutschlandradio and the Kunst- und Ausstellungshalle der Bundesrepublik Deutschland GmbH (Bundeskunsthalle). The object of the company is the provision of infrastructural services of all kinds exclusively for public clients, in particular security services in accordance with Section 34a of the German Trade Regulation Act.
