11–17 Uhr – Ballroom 101 Workshops:
Die vier verschiedenen Ballroom 101 Workshops bieten ein grundlegendes Verständnis für die verschiedenen Performancearten und Kategorien im Ballroom. Von Angeboten für Einsteiger, Beginner sowie Workshops für Personen mit Erfahrung und Ballroom-Mitglieder. Die Workshops werden geleitet von Expert*innen aus den Niederlanden und Deutschland. BIPOC und Queers sind ganz besonders eingeladen, teilzunehmen. Eine Akzeptanz von BIPOC und queeren Menschen wird angenommen/vorausgesetzt, da dies den Ursprung der Ballroom-Kultur bildet.

Die Teilnahme ist kostenlos. Die Anmeldung zu den einzelnen Workshops ist ab sofort möglich unter buchung@bundeskunsthalle.de.

• offen für Anfänger/Neueinsteiger
  Diese Workshops sind für Nicht-Tänzer und Anfänger geeignet. Die Workshops beginnen mit einer kurzen Einführung in die jeweilige Kategorie und ihre Grundelemente. Diese Elemente werden dann durch technische Übungen und Drills sowie konzeptionelle Freestyle-Übungen erforscht. 

11:00–12:15 Uhr: Ballroom 101 – Runway (Legendary Mother Leo St. Laurent)
12:30–13:30 Uhr: Ballroom 101 – Posing/New Way (Litchi St. Laurent)

• offen für alle mit Vorkenntnissen

13:45–15:15 Uhr: Vogue Fem Elements (Black Pearl)
15:30–17:00 Uhr: Performance & Musicality (Seven Garçon)
Dieser Workshop steht allen Performance-Kategorien (Vogue Fem/Old Way/New Way) offen und konzentriert sich auf die Geschichte und Wurzeln der Performance als Kategorie und auf Musikalität.

11 am to 5 pm – Ballroom 101 Workshops:
The four different Ballroom 101 workshops offer a basic understanding of the different performance types and categories of ballroom. From offerings for newcomers and beginners to workshops for experienced individuals and ballroom members. The workshops will be led by experts from the Netherlands and Germany. BIPOC and queer people are especially invited to participate. Acceptance of BIPOC and queer people is assumed/expected, as this forms the origin of ballroom culture.

Participation is free of charge. Registration for individual workshops is now open under buchung@bundeskunsthalle.de.

• open to beginners/newcomers
  These workshops are suitable for non-dancers and beginners. The workshops begin with a brief introduction to the respective category and its basic elements. These elements are then explored through technical exercises and drills, as well as conceptual freestyle exercises.

12:30–1:30 pm: Ballroom 101 – Posing/New Way (Litchi St. Laurent)

• open to anyone with prior knowledge

1:45–3:15 pm: Vogue Fem Elements (Black Pearl)
3:30–5 pm:  Performance & Musicality (Seven Garçon)
This workshop is open for all performance categories (Vogue Fem/Old Way/New Way) and will focus on the history and roots of performance as a category and musicality.
